Laos: Luang Prabang

img_3134 After a few days in Luang Namtha, we decided to continue our journey to Luang Prabang. Compared to Luang Namtha, Luang Prabang is a larger city and much more touristic which means there is more to do! In this blogpost I will tell (and show!) you all the beautiful things I have seen like waterfalls, amazing views, beautiful locals and a lot of monks!

Luang Prabang

What I really loved about Luang Prabang, was the fact that there was this amazing view over the Mekong river. We tried to take pictures during sundown and we have seen pretty cool places. Another thing that is common in Laos (or Thailand) is to climb heights to find temples and they usually have an amazing view upstairs! The river you see on these pics are btw the Mekong River which also flows through Cambodia and Vietnam :).

Then of course, we visited temples. The beautiful thing about the temples is that the architecture as well as the decoration are both amazing. I should also add that when you walk around in Laos, you will definitely come across some monks. I have to say that the monks seem very humble as they just walk around town like regular people and they mind their own business.

Tad Sae waterfall

During our stay in Luang Prabang, we decided to go to the Tad Sae Waterfall. We grouped up with some other tourists from all over the world and shared a tuc tuc and some stories. Below the pictures you will also be able to see the video of this beautiful waterfall.

I would like to dedicate the next post to the Kuang Si waterfall. I have taken so many pictures and video’s there, I did not want to extend this post. Therefore, next post will be dedicated to the national park :), it will be so good, promise! By the way, I will also start posting video’s to my YouTube channel the upcoming weeks :). I find that my video’s lose quality once they are uploaded to my blog.. Therefore, I ask you guys to subscribe to my Youtube channel and do not forget to follow me on IG: @senegalesetwisted and @sntwistedphoto for photography and video’s. Check out my Facebook page @SenegaleseTwisted. Thank you for reading 🙂
