Black n’Curly: Natural Hair event in Dakar

For the first time, I went to a natural hair event orgainized by Black n’Curly in Senegal! How exciting?! As many of you know, I am natural. Also, I find it important that black women get more educated about their hair. Furthermore, naturals should also contribute to the representation of black women and girls. Also, children should not suffer due to ignorance, in terms of perms, no edges and forever having a tiny ponytail lol. All in all, I definitely wanted to see how many naturals would come, and exchange with them. Just to let them know that I’m here too! Let’s get into this Black n’Curly hair event! (more…)

Lulu Home Interior & Café is quite a unique and contemporary place. If you have done any Google searches on great spots to eat in Dakar, it must have come up. Not only is Lulu known for their food, but also the home interior items that they offer.  Let’s get to this interesting place with cute interior items, shall we?!

In my previous post, you got to see Lyvv cosmetics lip swatches. Today, I’m raising the bar, I’m going to share with you something I haven’t done yet… Can I get a drum roll? *insert drum roll* I’m going to share with you a Summer look with my favorite Lyvv cosmetic product! It is so hot in Dakar these days, so I wanted to share a light and easy summer look. I don’t wear make up that often, especially in this heat. However, I thought that it was a nice, casual look that would be light enough to endure this heat. Let’s get into the Summer look tutorial I created for you guys! (more…)

Lyvv cosmetics lip swatch with Senegalese Twisted & friends

In my last post, you got an introduction to Lyvv cosmetics and their views on beauty. The second video I made for Lyvv is a Lyvv cosmetics lip swatch. So, I decided to not only test three Lyvv lip colors on myself, but also on people in my surrounding with different skin shades. How exciting right? Yes, for me it was. Especially since it was the first time I got to see how Lyvv looked on others. Do you want to find out how I did it? Keep on reading and check out the video :). (more…)

An introduction to Lyvv cosmetics & beauty values w/ Senegalese Twisted

Today, I want to share with you something cool: an introduction to Lyvv cosmetics + their values on beauty. Last time, I told you how I became a Brand Ambassador for Lyvv cosmetics. I shot my shot, got into their DM’s and suggested that they’d work with bloggers like me. To my luck, they were as enthousiast about it as I was. Now, I have created some content for them and today, I’ll share more about Lyvv! (more…)

ELITE Senegal 2018: ELITE Fashion competition

Last week, I attended and assisted during the program of my friend Fadieye called ELITE Senegal 2018. ELITE is an acronym and stands for Entrepreneurship, Leadership and IT Exchange. During one week, we had over 40 girls that study sewing at CAIF and gave them workshops and trainings in entrepreneurship and leadership. I told you in the last post: Twisted Talent designer, that that was it for ELITE Senegal 2018. I’m not sorry, but I still have some things to share with you: THE STUDENTS! I mean, there was an ELITE Fashion competition involved and I really want to share with you some of the designs. Even though it is not an exclusive post about Twisted Talent, we will definitely get yet another shot of talent!  (more…)

SNTWSTD x Kiko Milano

Hi everyone!

SNTWSTD x Kiko Milano (lipgloss pencil 11)

I am back with another post and this post we all about: Kiko Milano. I really love Kiko and the first time I went to Kiko was in 2014 in Paris, which I wrote in my Paris 2014 haul. Then, when I lived in Berlin, I went to Kiko a lot, due to the fact that there were so many in Berlin. Most larger malls had at least two stores, that is why I got this severe Kiko addiction lol. Anyways, in this post, I want to share with you my latest purchases from Kiko. In Holland, we have two Kiko stores in Amsterdam. One at Amsterdam Centraal and one in the Kalverstraat. I, however, live in Almere and we have a Kiko too! That is how my addiction to Kiko will continue :).
