China: Jinghong

In this post, I will tell you guys about what we saw, and did during our stay in Jinghong. As I told you already, we got a free lift from the bus driver we took photos with the day before.

going to Jinghong

So, the driver, invited us to dinner with his friends img_2717because they wanted to show us their town. It was a bit awkward in the beginning as the drivers friends really wanted to take pictures with us and all of that, but in the end it was alright. We ate some traditional Chinese dishes, it was a lot and we shared it with the six of us. I have to say that I do not remember the exact names of the dishes, but we ate rice and we had a bowls with vegetarian, chicken and fish dishes. I tried different dishes and they were nice. Of course, we also came across lots of street food and small Chinese restaurants.

night market

img_2666After some food, a lot of talking and laughing, we went out and about. We went to this market fair that was packed. However, not only was our company taking pictures of us and with us, but the whole market was taking photos and sneaking their phone in our faces… Guess my view was a bit like this here on the left. Note: the two girls were with us, and I was actually trying to take a picture of the guy behind them that was trying to take a picture of me lol.

You can get a glimpse of this night in the video below :). Hope you guys like it!

The next day, my friend and I went out in Jinghong on our own. It was so nice, due to the fact that Jinghong is a beautiful big city, meaning that there is enough to walk to and see on your way.
