Dakar Farmer’s Market

Dakar Farmer's Market, Ouakam - Dec 2017On the first Sunday of December, I went to the Dakar Farmer’s Market with my sister in Ouakam, Dakar. Every first Saturday of the month, from December 2017 until June 2018, there is a Farmer’s Market where biological and artisanal products are being sold. The overall objective is to promote local consumption and the well-being of the Senegalese community. The market brings together more than 80 different exhibitors that offer a wide range of quality agri-foods and natural cosmetics. If you want to know more about the Dakar Farmer’s market, keep on reading!

Senegal: Podor

Hi everyone!

Welcome to Podor, Podor, Saint Louis - January 2015

Hope all is well :). This post is about the town I was born in: Podor, a town located all the way in the north of Senegal. Across the river you can see Mauritania. There are a lot of Senegalese people that live in Mauritania and vice versa. Additionally, Podor has a fort that was built in 1854 that was used as a centre for gold trading. I will show you the pics I took this february!

Rooftop view Parcelles, Kaolack - February 2015
It has been a quite while since I blessed you with a post from Senegal! As I said in my previous post, I had some troubles uploading pictures when I was still in Senegal. And because I had to prepare for my semester in Berlin, Germany, I did not have too much time to upload the rest! I am in Berlin at the moment, I have not yet taken pictures, as me and my friend are preparing for our German courses tomorrow! This post will all be about Kaolack, a place I visited with my cousin!

Hi guys!

Sea Plaza, Dakar

I am not in Senegal anymore, and in my last two weeks I had a bit trouble with uploading photos… And since I really appreciate visuals I did not want to just publish text posts. I have to say that I really liked writing about and selecting pictures of Gorée Island to share with you guys in my previous post… Sooo I have decided to do that for more of my trips! This post it is about Sea Plaza! Sea Plaza is a huge mall by the sea that has different stores like Mango, Jennyfer’s, a supermarket, a bowling alley, cinema and more! I went to Sea Plaza with my cousin Marilouise. We just went there by taxi, went to the mall, I took a lot of pics of the mall itself… Then, we decided to get some food and just chill in the chill area, where there’s wifi and you can charge your phone for free. Afterwards, we took pictures of each other and just selfies. When we were done, we just went home. Just check out the pictures and let me know what you think!

Senegal: Gorée Island

Hi Guys!

Maison des esclaves - Gorée Island

As promised, I would do a seperate post about Gorée Island because I took a lot of pictures while I was there. I have to say: I LOVE GORÉE ISLAND! First of all, it makes me feel as if I am on a Caribbean Island, I love the sea and of course the vibe that the island gives, even though it used to be a slave island. I dedicate this blog post to Aminah! Let’s get into it :).

What to do in Senegal?

Hi guys!

Since I am in Senegal and have been travelling to Senegal quite some time now, I was thinking about making a post about what you can do in Senegal! Just for you guys. For the ones who don’t know: I was born in Senegal, when I was 1 I moved to Rome, Italy and came back for the holidays when I was 5. After that, it took me about 12 years to come back (2010) and because it was a great experience, I went again in 2012, 2013, 2014 and now I am here again lol. Sooo, I have been taking quite some pics, and I just want to show you guys what it is Senegal has to offer. Just note that Senegal has a lot more to offer than I will be showing you guys. And of course, the way I see things, might not be the way you see things! Enjoy :).

Hi guys ‘n girls!

I hope everyone is doing fine! As you can read from the article, have an announcement to make: I AM IN SENEGAL! YAY. Lol, I am kind of happy.. Mostly because, normally, I’d be going to school instead. And while all my classmates and friends are actually in school, I will be chilling in the sun!

Dakar – August 2013

I have been really busy with school, and arranging things for my exchange in Berlin! I hope you guys don’t mind, because I will still try to post as much as I can :).

To give you guys a sneak peak or #throwback to Senegal, I will post a few pics I have made throughout the past years when I visited. If any of you have any questions, suggestions or just want to get in touch.. send me an email :).
